PROJECT WORD CELEBRATE 25,000 POSSIBLE BUSINESS LEADS!

It was seen that over 25,000 clicks through to businesses websites have now occured.

Jamie says "This is a great milestone for Project WORD, it just shows that people are using our business dictionary as a valid resource for finding businesses online".


ACCREDITED IN THE "MAIL ON SUNDAY"

After the release of a recent press release, Project WORD was accredited in the Mail on Sunday.

The article written reads:-

ONE in three start-ups has no idea what role marketing has to play in developing their business. New research shows that almost 40 per cent of start-ups have no marketing plan, while nearly 50 per cent launch without any form of marketing or advertising.

Almost half of all new companies fail within their first year of trading, according to widely accepted estimates.

Jamie Delo, founder of online business directory Project WORD, which questionred more than 3,000 business owners, says: "These statistics establish that the downfall of many new companies if that they assume consumers will have heard of them or will simply find their website. In reality, thousands of companies are failing every year due to lack of marketing".

COUPLE COME UP WITH RIGHT WORD

An enterprising Shropshire couple has come up with a cost-effective and fun way for people to promote their businesses during the credit crunch.

Jamie Delo, 22, who has just completed a degree in Computer Science, set up Project WORD with his partner Sophia Luisada.

The web based business dictionary allows members to pay £1 to buy a keyword related to their business and then have it linked to their website.

The pair recently conducted a survey of over 3,000 UK businesses, which they saw showed almost 40 per cent of start-up companies have no marketing plan and almost 50 per cent of businesses launch without any form of marketing or advertising.

Project WORD's first release made an excellent feature in the Shropshire Star this week. This initial release is said to be an excellent market test which will identify early development plans. Jamie says "We are very excited to be releasing our initial version of Project WORD, we will be looking to receive feedback from people and act on this ready for our official release".
