About Project WORD
Project WORD is a UK business directory where every business is found by the words that matter to its customers. Each business chooses the keywords people type when they are looking for what it does, like "emergency plumber" or "wedding photographer Surrey", and is found by them.
We started in 2008 with a simple idea: link words to the businesses behind them. Since then thousands of UK businesses have listed with us, and the whole directory has now been rebuilt from the ground up.
Listing your business
A listing is free. It includes your details, your place on the map, three keywords, products, news and photos. Every new listing is checked before it goes live, so the directory stays useful and free of spam.
Premium listings sit in the featured spots at the top of their category and county pages, above every free listing, with 25 keywords, up to 4 categories, unlimited products and photos, and a link to their website that search engines follow.
