Terms

These terms apply to using Project WORD's Project WORD directory (the "site") and to listing a business on it. By using the site or listing a business you agree to them.

Who we are

The site is run by Project WORD, of The Studio, Ketley, Telford, Shropshire, TF1 5DJ. You can contact us through our contact page, or by email at sales@projectword.co.uk.

Listing a business

  • You may only list a business that is yours, or that you are allowed to list.
  • What you put on your listing must be accurate and up to date, and must not break the law or anyone else's rights.
  • We check listings before they go live and may check them again at any time. We may decline, hide or remove a listing, or ask you to change it, for example if it is inaccurate, misleading, a duplicate, or about something we do not list. We do not list adult or sexual services, escort agencies, gambling, payday lending, essay writing services, illegal products, or anything that exists only to promote other websites.
  • You keep the rights to what you upload, and give us permission to show it on the site and to use it to promote the site and your listing.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret.

Premium listings

  • Premium is paid through our payment provider, Stripe, at the price shown when you upgrade, either yearly or once for life. Offer codes apply only as described in the offer.
  • Yearly Premium renews each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; your listing stays Premium until the end of the year you have paid for, then returns to a free listing. We do not refund part years, except where the law says we must.
  • Lifetime Premium is a single payment. It lasts for as long as the listing is on the site and the site is running, and moves with the listing if its details change. It cannot be moved to a different business.
  • Featured spots on a page are limited. When more Premium businesses share a page than there are spots, they take turns.
  • If a payment fails, Premium may end. If we remove a listing for breaking these terms, its Premium ends and is not refunded.
  • We may change prices for future years. We will tell you before a change affects your renewal.

Using the site

Listings are written by the businesses themselves. We check them, but we cannot promise that everything in them is accurate, and we are not responsible for the goods or services a business provides. Please do not misuse the site, for example by copying the directory, sending spam through it, or trying to get around our checks.

Our responsibility

We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost business, profits or data, or for anything we could not reasonably have foreseen, and our total liability to a business is limited to what it paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date it is published. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
